Micromax A116 Canvas HD was announced last January, and we already  previously shared Micromax A116 Canvas 3 Specifications. After announcements this phone shook the world with its aggressive pricing of Rs. 14999 and High end features. This 5 inch Smartphone have a 720p HD IPS display which produces crisp images and videos. To support heavy multitasking and Gaming it has a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor and 1 GB RAM. Along with that for photo it has a 8MP auto-focus camera with HD video recording. The color reproduction of Micromax A116 Canvas HD’s Camera is Good. Though the 2MP front camera disappointed us. Along with that it supports Dual SIM which is great. And at the last but not the least Micromax A116 Canvas HD has features 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth,  GPS, Gyro and so on. To run Latest Android 4.1.2 Jelly bean Micromax A116 Canvas HD has a huge 2100 mAh battery for longer phone operation.

Micromax A116 Canvas HD Hands on Review

Micromax A116 Canvas HD – Design & Body: 

Body of A116 Canvas HD is made of premium quality plastic and it feels good and easy in hand. Though you need a big hand to hold this phone easily in just one hand. The body of this phone is pretty big. Though the 5 inch HD screen looks awesome while gaming.

It comes with a 8MP rear camera at the back. In the above picture you can see that the camera lens is slightly upward to the body. This camera design sometime annoying as it doesn’t sit smoothly at flat surfaces.

On its left side there is the volume up-down keys, and this is standard. You can use volume keys to higher/lower the speaker volume, and to zoom in / zoom out while taking pictures.

Micromax A116 Canvas HD – Hardware:

A 1.2Ghz quad-core processor quad-core processor enables this phone to run Android 4.1.2 Jelly bean smoothly. Along with that 1GB RAM helps in heavy gaming and multitasking. 5inch IPS display produces crisp and clear image, and 8 MP camera at rear takes vibrant images. along with all these it has Dual SIM, 3G, WiFi, GPS, and Bluetooth support.

Micromax A116 Canvas HD – Software:

This phone comes with Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean out of the box, and which is great. Micromax says it will get Android 4.2 update soon after release. Along with that it comes with some pre-installed micromax app and some other stuff.

It has 4GB internal memory, and which is enough for anyone to install apps and games. Though power users can insert micro SD card and expand the memory for another 32GB.

Overall built quality, design and hardware spec of  Micromax A116 Canvas HD is impressive.
